Byker Grove was a British television series which aired between 1989 and 2006 and was created by Adele Rose. The show was broadcast at 5.10pm after Newsround on CBBC on BBC One. It was aimed at an older teenager and young adult audience, tackling serious and sometimes controversial storylines.

Angel discovers Laura has a boyfriend, Kevin, she tries to tell Gary, but he won't listen and runs after Laura to the station to give her a red rose.

Episode 112The police arrive at the flat and arrest Gary. Laura does a deal with Purkiss, and manages to get another flat for Patsy and Amanda. Anna plants alcohol on Alfie who is reprimanded by Mrs. Thrubb. Flora and her father fall out when news of her divorce almost hits the press.

Terry is painting a mural at the Grove, Dale admires him. Gary is being threatening. Alfie gets through to the final of the cookery competition by using ready-made pastry.

Episode 120Gloria thoroughly embarrasses Ed around the Grove. Barney sets up a meeting between him, Anna, Marie, and Frew to sort things out, but he doesn't turn up, and it all goes horribly wrong. Barney offers Anna some stolen perfume.

Folge #7.20The girls fail in their world record attempt because Flora and Brigid both tire, and Marie runs off with Frew to help Barney. Charlie brings Ashley to the Grove for a pop forum. Dale tells everyone about Jack's bedwetting, then turns on the Grovers when they criticise him.
