- Wistoria: Wand and Sword
An absolute treat of a modern day anime gem! I used to think of Black Clover as Anime Harry Potter but Wistoria Wand and Sword is much more apt at filling that description. I was concerned at first that it was going to be another Uber power fantasy anime with no real tangible stakes, but this show does a great job of generating genuine obstacles and hardships for the main character. Those of you who have seen Black Clover will certainly draw some parallels to that show, but I can assure you that this is more than different enough to scratch an entirely different itch and to be worthy of being its own property entirely. I will also say that this anime, much like Frieren is much more subdued concerning erratic behaviors and antics of most modern-day anime's. So no pervy nosebleed rockets, unnecessary swimsuit or sauna episodes (knock on wood) and definitely no incredibly awkward and entirely unnecessary incest or grooming undertones (I'm looking at you, Gauche). If you're looking for a fresh and fun Magic infused anime that you can comfortably watch with the fam, look no further! 😁Wistoria: Wand and Sword - Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider
I REALLY tried to finish this one, but the plot's boring (You hope that there's some interesting twists to compensate for the dumb premise, but there really isn't) and there's waaaaaaay too much drool crying, and sexually repressed fan service to enjoy this show without being on the spectrum.Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider
