I might be a simple guy, but I liked this series. It has twists and turns and crazy sidequests. When I open Netflix on a lazy night, this is the kind of series I want to watch. It combines a murder mystery/prison break -adventure. It is a good and interesting story and a great binch-adventure. Don't let the o-la-laa criticts deter you, because no one is forbidden to make their own scripts and submit them to Netflix 😀

I Spit on Your Grave
I spit on your grave is a horror movie remake that shows both elements of revenge and torture. This movie is quite generic but it had the potential to become an excellent film.despite some parts that over takes a lot of time, this movie had an awful ending. The main flaw is that it has a really slow start that it caused the whole movie to be rushed and make the ending suck.On the bright side the story is overall good and the torture scenes are pretty creative and violent.People i recommend that if you do not like gore and torture than this movie is not worth seeing. If you are a horror or a slasher fan than i would highly recommend this just don't expect high hopes of this movie.

If Carpenter's THE THING is your bag, this film is for you. Shot without CGI, these monsters were fantastic and the production value top notch. First you meet the gas station attendant and then the couple on a trip. It's a little schmaltzy between them in this opening scene, but she's beautiful and he's a nerd, so we forgive. After that, you'll meet the final couple and the game is on. Very well done acting by all, especially Shea and his waif of a girlfriend. The terror is real and filmed in such a way that I jumped many times. This movie is 100% as good as any big budget Hollywood film and worth your time if you enjoy this genre. Recommended.

Heart Condition
You get the feeling, right from the opening images, this is a too serious film to be a comedy. I don't think I laughed at anything, except two things, and I'm not really sure if they were, that they were from this movie. Only a couple of things manage to carry this movie off, favorably. It's definitely the chemistry between two great actors + a great actress, sorely very underused. Bigoted cop, Hoskins playing the role to a nice tee, suffers a major heart attack, after years of eating those fast foods, we so much love. He has a transplant from a dead guy, Washington. Coincidentally, it's the slick lawyer of a former girlfriend/prostitute (the versatile Webb) he's been tailing. And guess what, after surviving the heart attack, he reappears, only for Hoskins's eyes, where he implores this cop, now re-assigned to desk duty, and a strict diet, to him find the killers, he fell afoul of. Denzel is perfectly suited for his role, where we are reminded of just how good an actor he is. Webb, an actress I like, is just as good, looking beautiful as Hoskins's girl, who has a secret of her own. The film doesn't work as a comedy, despite some cute dialogue of Washington, and some mad antics from Hoskins's parading as a nutso. Still as an entertaining crime adventure film, it works, mainly from it's contributing performances, where as an end treat, we have that great song by Bonnie Raitt It also again, raises that issue of health, where like me, a too little number are adverse to eating the healthy stuff.
So glad I bought this buddy money pot of a buddy cop film! Starring the delightful Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes in a fun banter extravaganza and heist awesomeness! This definitely has its flaws but the pros outweigh everything. Chris Cooper is a great villain and Joseph Ruben directed a nice ballbusting experience! Also Donald Robertson (Robert Blake) was great as the jerk boss cop.

Made in Dagenham
here is something about watching a film set so close to home, with such straightforward, down-to-earth style, that can make it feel a bit non-cinematic; "Brassed Off", "Educating Rita", "Billy Elliott", and "The Full Monty" are amongst those that find themselves solidly in that category. Now Nigel Cole's "Made In Dagenham" joins his previous hit "Calender Girls" alongside them, and I maintain that I would have none of them any other way, least of which "Made In Dagenham". This film has no frills; it is simply the very solid telling of a true story; that true story is of the women's strike at Ford in Dagenham in 1968, lead by Rita O'Grady.
This is a faultless cast. Bob Hoskins performs his usual trick of slipping effortlessly into the skin of a character you imagine him to be in reality, and is completely lovable; Rosamind Pike is perfect as Lisa Hopkins, wife to a Ford executive and supporter of the women's movement; Sally Hawkins is knockout in the lead role of Rita and is surely going to get a great deal more serious work, and as usual Miranda Richardson is on fire and absolutely captivating as the tenacious Labour Secretary Of State at the time, Barabara Castle, the woman who made it possible for the Equal Pay Act to be passed into law through sheer defiance of one of the most important industrial names to the UK economy. This is just the icing on the cake; supporting these great actors is a whole host of familiar faces, embodying the men and women involved. From the smallest roles in one or two scenes, to the husbands, to the members of Ford, not one actor is out of place or giving a performance that is substandard.
The sense of place and time is captured wonderfully, with clear thought having been put into every element of the production: the music, the location shooting, the clothing, new designs of dresses, the clear division of classes, the inclusion of cultural references, car adverts on television, news reports heard. In fact, I say this is no-frills, but on reflection, it is a hell of an effort to ensure you cannot question where and when this story is set.
The writing is top-notch, and possibly my favourite element of this film. Cole's ability to put together a movie that walks a fine line is on show in "Calender Girls", but with this he has outdone himself; when at its funniest, it doesn't forget the importance of the event, and when at its most sombre and emotional, it doesn't lose the energetic spirit of the piece. His ear for dialogue is impeccable, each character speaking exactly as they should; the character exchanges prove completely believable and of the time. He also manages to hold quite a wide scope for such a simple story; the effect of the event on the families of Britain is not overlooked, and we see the standpoint of everyone, including the American company top suits.
In a nutshell, "Made In Dagenham" takes the best of all the aforementioned British movies and weaves them together in this one, resulting in a close to perfect piece of cinema Britain can be very proud of. A film that is very emotional, funny, and spirit-rousing, often all at the same time.

Parenthood
This is one of Ron Howard's triumphs, and one of the best movies about family relationships.
It's got a dream cast and reads like a who's who of popular 80's actors-Steve Martin, Mary Steenburgen, Keanu Reeves,Dianne Wiest, Martha Plimpton, Tom Hulce, Harley Kozak, Rick Moranis-and the terrific Jason Robards and an outstanding (albeit young) Joaquin Phoenix. All give phenomenal performances that were tailor made for them. Who else but Steve Martin could be Cowboy Gil? And who but Dianne Wiest could portray a tough as nails, but sweetly feminine single mother? And who else but Keanu Reeves and Martha Plimpton could have been the Romeo and Juliet wannabes Todd and Julie? Some of the situations in the film could seem far-fetched, but the likability of the cast is so immense that you just have to take it as it comes. They make the script work, and Ron Howard's direction is superb.
I have seen this movie several times through the years, and it never gets old, it just gets better. This is absolutely one to own!

City of Angels
its a truly brilliant movie especially when you pay attention to the soundtrack. the words in the movie are brilliant, especially Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls and and Angel by Sarah Mclachlan. Probably the two most brilliant movie songs that i have heard and they match this movie so fittingly.
on another note, Nicholas cage was a brilliant choice for this role. his eyes and his tone, while not making him sexy in any way, fit him into this role like a glove.
Truly recommend this movie as a brilliant piece of film and a beautiful story.

Undead
This film definitely ranks up there with the likes of Evil Dead and Dead Alive in my opinion. True, the acting was a little on the bad side and the plot wasn't too terribly original, but what do you expect?! It's a B-horror film for God's sake! Not only that, it wasn't made to be scary, but funny as is evident by the one liners and the amount/quality of gore (ie, the walking legs without a body). SO many people have commented that the score ruined the film but it added to the ambiance of the movie. It was cheesy, sci-fi music in the vein of Mars Attacks. People have also been saying that it rips off a lot of other movies, but I see this movie as a tribute to a lot of the other great horror films of our time. I saw references to Evil Dead, Dead Alive, Phantasm, NOTLD, and many others and applauded! The special effects were fabulous considering the budget they had. So many times I see B-horror were cgi is used and it looks completely terrible and fake. However the cgi in Undead blended in flawlessly. Undead is definitely a must see for any hardcore horror fan

🍻What's not to like - Martin Clunes, Mark Addy, Miles Jupp, Josie Lawrence......
It did feel as though Ful Monty was trying to be recreated, in a way, but, nevertheless it was amusing and some audience members laughed out loud.
I am a big fan of Martin Clunes and enjoyed seeing him on the big screen again, shortly after seeing him in Wuthering Heights. Mark Addy dancing is always a treat. 🍺

Kangaroo Jack
I don't know why people hate this movie. It is pure fun that combines comedy and action in a in a wonderful way that you can hardly get bored. The story is interesting and its plots are fast and you will hardly get bored because it is captivating. The characters are funny and full of life The direction is beautiful and the composition it's just awesome from the great Trevor Rabin. Just ignore the negative criticism. This movie deserves to be watched more than once, a masterpiece indeed.

Snake Eyes
I love the awesome camera angles in the same take at different scenes within the movie throughout the boxing match. It feels so professional and some of the scenes are also tracking shots or long takes, but other cameras in the same scene are in close up later and with split screen editing. There's also this awesome camera angle panning as an overhead shot through apartment rooms in another sequence. The payoff of who the lead villian organizing the shootout in the audience is a little underwhelming and the ending credits linger on an outdoor location throughout for no need, but this is mostly so cool and gripping.

Ransom
Mel Gibson outdid himself in this great action drama. The suspense never let up for a second as the bad guys kept up with their threats and demands. I can't think of a better actor for the chief of the evil crew than Gary Sinise; his portrayal of a demented sociopath was sterling. In fact the acting was so good that I sometimes became a part of the play. The ending of the show played out perfectly with much realism. Seldom have I been this impressed with a film. As usual Gibson is flawless.
