Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
At the end of the 2007 Ghost Rider, Mephisto explicitly offers Johnny the chance to have the curse removed, and Johnny says no. He chooses to keep the Ghost Rider so he can use that power against evil and protect innocent people. Then the sequel opens with essentially: “Hey, want your curse removed?”
