    D1
Wine Country Speak EasyBased only on clues they've learned about the homeowner, from inside the house, Jake and Joel Moss use reclaimed trusses from a field to shelter a bar area with a wine barrel wall and decomposed granite floors. A rendition of the homeowner's artwork is stenciled onto a concrete slab and an arbor leads into a nature area. A comedy of errors, and arguments occurs as Jake and Joel attempt to build the fence and arbor before being bailed out by their hired help.
  • Camera Ready Backyard
    D2
Camera Ready BackyardJake and Joel go vintage-chic as they tackle the backyard of an aspiring theater actress who likes to party. In two days, Brothers Moss and crew will pour a film reel concrete pad, build two film strip bar/barbeque half-circles with concrete countertops, and create an impressive eight-foot high water feature that repurposes old roller-type conveyor belts from a fruit packing facility. Add original artwork and a painter's nook, then witness a homeowner's reaction that's worthy of a best actress nod.
  • Urban Orchard
    D3
Urban OrchardFive minutes inside the house give Jake and Joel Moss all the clues they need to turn an overgrown backyard jungle into a modern day Garden of Eden. The guys recycle plow disks into a gargantuan spherical water feature, plow hooks into a cozy hanging chair, a wine barrel into an upscale compost bin and granite rocks into a fire pit and seating area. The result is a chill atmosphere in a yard that will feed belly and soul.
  • Zip Line Party Yard
    D4
Zip Line Party YardJake and Joel Moss give it the old college try building a fun-filled back yard for a group of 20-somethings. The fun starts with a zip line extending from one end of the yard to the other. On the way down, adventure seekers will pass oversized spool tables shaded with satellite dish umbrellas, a 10-foot bar with beer keg stools, and a vertical fire feature with a spinning top.
  • Greek Getaway
    D5
Greek GetawayContractors Jake and Joel Moss go vertical with white stucco walls and a water feature made from reclaimed fence boards and a rusty old milk jug. To top it off, this backyard makeover calls for a flagstone patio and a traditional Greek oven, creating a Mediterranean seaside village vibe. With time running short, a mistake threatens the brother's chances of completing the project before the homeowner's return.
  • A Modern Backyard Museum
    D6
A Modern Backyard MuseumDemolition chews up hours for contractors Jake and Joel Moss, as they excavate tons of buried concrete from a beat up yard. Under the gun and with the help of their crew, these two brothers pull off a backyard makeover with a modern, organic, industrial vibe. The yard includes huge planters made from metal culverts, an eight-foot-tall driftwood wall, seating made from reclaimed materials and a resurfaced concrete patio. Together, these elements create a backyard modern museum that has the homeowners delighted.
  • Islamic Elegance
    D7
Islamic EleganceJake and Joel Moss take on their most intricate build to date with an Islamic styled family gathering place. A twelve foot tall domed cabana structure is the focal point in this yard that leads to a sixteen sided water feature. In front, a flagstone and sod covered dining patio is topped with a reclaimed table creating a special place for every member of the family.
  • Eco-Pond Beach
    D8
Eco-Pond BeachDaunted by the sheer size of this flat, featureless backyard, Jake & Joel Moss take it on anyway with a need to succeed. They turn an existing debris-filled hole into a massive, natural eco-system pond stocked with big catfish and bass--with a sandy beach, cantilevered redwood dock and giant boulders along the water's edge. Figuring out the homeowners have a child, an overhead aircraft-inspired redwood tree house will make the kid's imagination take off-if they can finish all this before the family returns.
  • Jacob's Diner
    D9
Jacob's DinerBased only on clues they've learned about the homeowner from inside the house, Jake and Joel Moss turn this yard into a 50's diner with edge. They add a concrete patio, a 50's style diner bar, a privacy screen of galvanized steel and airbrushed skulls, a motorcycle fire feature, and a trampoline area for the kid. Without properly thinking it through or consulting his brother, Joel decides to stray from Jakes design and sink the trampoline 3 feet into the ground for esthetics. It quickly becomes a disaster project and Joel admits to Jake he is in over his head!
  • Edgy Spa Sanctuary
    D10
Edgy Spa SanctuaryLicensed contractors Jake & Joel Moss step in where the homeowners apparently fear to tread, taking on a large, dog-run yard full of nothing but soggy grass and broken concrete. Jake & Joel gamble that a privacy fence made from pallets and woven metal, a new spa with hand-painted mural beverage cabinet, custom buffet table, turbine engine fire feature, and glass-topped lighted bar will help get this engaged couple's marriage off to a fun start.
  • Surreal Sci-Fi in Suburbia
    D11
Surreal Sci-Fi in SuburbiaThere will be blood-curdling screams of joy when a family of film buffs return home to a backyard inspired by several movie genres. The Moss brothers and their crew create a fantasy space that blends entertainment, art, and relaxation for everyone. Three areas set the scene: the refurbished deck that houses a TV, barbeque, super long reclaimed wood bar faced with ledge cut stone and sunken lights; along with the oversized crop circle stepping stones that lead to a recycled tractor-rim fire pit and seating circle; and finally the surreal towering twisted metal and rock art sculpture that doubles as a bench. Bordering the space are half-moon metal partition-walls embedded with blasts of Kryptonite-AKA recycled windshield glass.
  • Butterfly Bistro
    D12
Butterfly BistroJake and Joel go all out in a search for eclectic industrial materials like plastic drain grates and electrical support towers to bring a stunning look to what began as a lackluster backyard. They balance the hard edge of plastic and metal with plants that attract nectar-loving insects. The guys build a rocking metal butterfly sculpture, a tower-of-power shade structure, and a bar and barbeque area complete with concrete countertops.
  • Jungle Love
    D13
Jungle LoveThe Brothers Moss take on an overgrown mess of a yard and create a tropical paradise custom built for casual gatherings. A metal bamboo archway beckons visitors to stroll down the dolomite pathways with retro hanging lights stuffed full of Christmas lights. Further back, a 6-sided palapa and seating area provides a nice place to suck down an adult beverage, while an art-infused barbeque/fire pit area finds inspiration from the homeowners eclectic style with chairs made from the body parts of mannequins.
