Vanity Insanity is an exploration of our cultural fixation on beauty, and features a broad range of personal stories about beauty and body image, cosmetic procedures, body modifications, surgeries, and the influences of fashion and media on our perception of beauty. The series profiles the positive as well as the dark and even sometimes bizarre sides of the cosmetic surgery industry and its effects on our culture, through the personal stories of individuals. Vanity Insanity's two seasons include a total of 52 episodes and over 100 stories. The series features a broad range of compelling personal stories, incorporating revealing interviews with the subjects and their doctors, their loved ones, psychologists and other experts, while exploring the reasons behind the over 12 million cosmetic procedures performed each year in North America alone.
