- OdinTheRavenKing23. května 2026## Synopsis A former cult member and her husband work with the FLDS to make a documentary, all the while attempting to find evidence of nefarious behavior from Samuel Bateman, who claims to be the new prophet. ## Review The host of this documentary backstory is incredibly interesting, and I wish an episode talked more about that. There is just this presentation of little bits of information that makes it feel like she is under a gag order not to talk about it or that parts of it are exaggerated. Whatever part of it that is real is terrible, and I am sorry that it happened to her. The story in an of itself is intriguing for sure. There is something about the FLDS that leads them to believe that these monsters are prophet. I think what is the most disturbing part of these people is their complete disregard of the care of people under their charge and then abusing them left right and center. I'm having to float around some information found because of the censorship that will happen and not wanting to give away the documentary, but it is 100% vile. The story telling does rob me the wrong way, but my wife did like it. It felt like too much drama and that starts with the intro video on each episode. Something about it makes the video feel more dramatized than it should be. It just didn't sit well with me. ## [My Rating] These documentaries about the craziness in the FLDS church are always so over the top. This one has children being moved in a trailer and have to hold on to the door so it doesn't whip open. This was the crack that helps out the investigation by the FBI and allow them to really get involved. I am disgusted by the event that were taken place. While I understand why the police needed more information, their lack of notifying the FBI added months if not years to the investigation leading to more people being abused. While I didn't like the drama, this is an 8 for story telling. ## [Parental Rating] Nope. They aren't documentary people to begin with. Add in the abuse that takes place, and then they are out. Rejected by both.
- macaronz20. května 2026Just finished watching and honestly, Sam was simultaneously so clever and such an idiot. He's the perfect example of what happens when someone gets way more power than they can handle. He clearly had this massive obsession with being famous like a movie star. But man, the FLDS community is a complete joke, they are so easily brainwashed that literally anyone can manipulate them. Someone else is probably leading the cult right now, and tomorrow another random guy will replace Sam as the new prophet. Honestly, it feels like they’re running this cult just to get a Netflix docuseries out of it lol.
