- Adam11. září 2025It's solid and takes a little while to warm up and get going (but hey, so did The Office). You're going to spend the first few episodes trying to compare characters from the two shows to work out who's most like who (at least that's what i did), but it gets better once you let that go and appreciate that this is its own show, set in the same universe. It has some good jokes and I chuckled a few times, which is enough for a first season that's just finding its feet. I'll definitely come back to watch the second season when it drops. Who knows, maybe we'll get a few cameos from those chracters we've come to know and love so much over the last 20 years. One criticism I do have though, is that Esmerelda is so god damn annoying. They need to tone her down or something. She's so loud and insufferable that she overwhelms any scene that she's in.
- Justin Hardin5. září 2025This was so heartwarming to experience. They were not trying to replace the office but they did something and made their own identity within the universe. Which I think is their goal. I laughed so many times and actually really cared about a lot of these characters. Of course there is a small amount of characters they could have dived into a little bit more, but I think overall they have a great start with this first season. Any fan of the office would love this.
- John Chapel9. září 2025You love this if you think The Office was better after Carrell left. The bits are cartoonish and predictable, and everyone seems to be TOO archetypal. The "stupid guy" is just too stupid. The "Lazy guy" is just too lazy. The "old guy" is just too geriatric, and while the whole modern glimpse into the archetypes of a boring office job worked for The Office, it worked because the Dunder Mifflin employees were far more than a two-word description of themselves. They had depth, and character arcs. To be fair, this IS only season 1. But there will only ever be one show in history that is allowed to mimic The Office, and thats Parks n Rec, and that was specifically because America was begging for more of it. Now? EVERYTHING is a mockumentary. EVERYTHING is a glimpse into the quirks of modern jobs. EVERYTHING is a poorly reconstructed Jim-and-Pam-esque "Will they wont they?". EVERYTHING is the awkward moment followed by somebody mugging the camera. The Office redefined the sitcom, then everything tried to be the office and it just got old. (Basically the same thing that happened to Seinfeld. Which itself was built upon Newhart). So for the OG creators to come along and go "We're BRINGING BACK THE OFFICE", I mean.....it's been 20 years.
