November 1967. Hanna Bielska - an aspiring actress - is in a hurry to see "Forefathers' Eve" when a stranger joins her on the way. This is Janek Wolicki. Meanwhile, the young journalist Dunin finds out that his roommate is fired due to his origin. At the same time, Janek appears in the editorial office. Dunin is to take care of him.
