- Arniox4. září 2026Really enjoyed this mini series. It's such a unique and different take on spiderman and its hugely appreciated. It's gritty, it's grounded, the 1930's is an amazing back drop for the show, and it's done brilliantly. Nothing is missed, even the constant smoking, and the prohibition and 1930s alcahol gangs were absolutely perfect.
- darsan27. května 2026it would've been great if sony did this from the beginning instead of making crappy villain turned anti-hero spinoffs just to retain the rights of spider-man and i hope this will get a s2 and i hope that sony will make other shows focusing on other spider characters from the spider-verse. the right way to watch this show is in authentic black and white, nic cage absolutely killed it as ben reilly a.k.a the spider and li jun li absolutely killed it as cat hardy and i hope to see them in a potential s2.

- Grampa Caligula31. května 2026It has a lot going for it, and the story is engaging. But there's an missing element to the 'film noir' aspect of the show. The dialog pacing is too slow, Cage seems to be operating in slow motion and the femme fatale aspect seems lacking. Overall, the concept is really good - I just wish it would have not tried to modernize every aspect. This seemed to need more of a touch of 'The Asphalt Jungle' or 'The Killing'-style noir, needing only to update the action. I don't hate it - I actually want to like it more. I'd argue that it's a glimpse of what a 40's film noir would look like if it were filmed today, and I think the director and the producers think the audience isn't as smart (or they figure everyone's on their cell phone and paced it that way. Not sure about the casting, but still worth the watch.
- theLillyPad13. července 2026Beginning better than it ends, Spider-Noir is a low-budget throwback that does a lot with what it has. I'm a big comic fan, and have been a fan of Spider-Man Noir since he first appeared in those pages in 2008. The character changed a lot after his adaption in the Spider-Verse movies, which is a bit disappointing, but still worth engaging with. This series is very much its own thing--taking light inspiration from the comics, with its other hand firmly on the 30's Noir and Sci-Fi genre. The creative team knew what they were doing here, too. Cage's speech patterns, the major plot points, the cinematography, even the special effects are all lovingly lifted from the original material with expertise. At first, Nicholas Cage plays it pretty straight. But by ep 5 they have found an excuse to let him do weird Nicholas Cage things. Your mileage on that may vary. Overall, not a perfect show but worth a watch. Especially fun for anyone who already enjoys old Black and White Noir and Scifi.

- George20. června 2026Definitely recommend watching in black and white. When in color the sets seem a little cheaper, & Cages make up is a lot more obvious. Otherwise, great show. I wasn’t sure what to expect going in but a Spider-Man that’s also detective? You literally can’t mess it up. The pacing was great, the acting was mostly solid outside of some Cage being cage things that were a bit over the top and odd for the tone of the show but you can basically expect that in everything he does. The Rogue Gallery selection was a fun set of bad guys for this version of spdierman to have to deal with. Not sure if we’re getting a second season or not but if we don’t, I’d say it wrapped up in a satisfying way for me.

- trrs1. června 2026Not the worst and not the best marvel show this sits right there in the middle. It’s a bit goofy at times but overall it knows when to dial it back to a more serious tone. Nicholas cage imo does a great job as “THE Spider”. What’s great about this show I will mention is that it’s pretty much stand alone with needing prerequisites to watch and enjoy more than I can say for a lot of super hero shows. Overall this was entertaining and I do hope to see a second season. Watch if you enjoy Spider-Man and nick cages acting and even if you don’t watch it anyways :)
- Nicholas Cage pulls it off. Its not exactly the Spider-Noir hero from the Spiderverse movie, but IMO he's better. Quirkier and a bit sad. (But no wind blew when he appeared.) I'm also not for permanently ending heroes or villains, but I can forgive that trope. Always happy when Marvel greenlights a new way to present their IP. Keep 'em coming!! What else to say except, "Excelsior!"
