Railway Story

The Tohoku region of Japan is the northeastern portion of Honshu, the largest island of Japan. The remote, scenic region endured a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011, and the ensuing energy accident at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant following the natural disaster. “Railway Story” is a four-episode travel series that highlights the rebuilding and recovery of the region so that travelers can once again enjoy the wonderful bounties that the area has to offer. Traveling by train from the south to the north along the Pacific Coast, the hosts spotlight the breathtaking sceneries, delicious local cuisines, amazing hot springs and historical sites that can once again be enjoyed by travelers.
