In the second part of the series, Colonel Karpov has to endure a severe loss. This event will determine the course of events of the entire season. In order to get to the bottom of the truth, the former head of the 'Pyatnitsky' district criminal police department, gets a job with a politician, running for the Mayor office of some Moscow suburb town. Karpov will plunge into the cruel world of the election race, full of squabbles, intrigue, and most importantly, secrets. And more he learns, more he realizes that the truth runs farther away from him. In the second part of the series, characters will be changed dramatically under the influence of circumstances. So shy Sveta will become a tough business woman, Iwaschuk, on the contrary, will 'roll downhill', and Zotov will manifest himself on the unexpected side. But the most important in the second season of 'Karpov' the audience have to meet the legendary heroes of 'Glukhar' Tv Series: the shameless Denis Antoshin, the principled Kolya Tarasov, the naive but kind Agapov, as well as the strict but fair Irina Zimina. The second part of the series will prove to Karpov a simple truth - the obvious, does not always mean real. Dozens of times, the former colonel will go the wrong way, until finally he comes to the solution of his personal tragedy. And the ending of the season will undoubtedly shock everyone.

D5MonstryThe future mayor Petrov, pleased with his collaboration with Karpov, invites him along with Sveta to a private party to celebrate his daughter's wedding. There Karpov, on behalf of Petrov, meets businessman Stepanov - a potential investor of Petrov's election campaign. On the instructions of the future mayor, Karpov must intimidate the businessman and force him to work for Petrov. But, having got into Stepanov's house, Karpov persuades the businessman to unite against Petrov, the man whom Karpov suspects of murdering Lera and her family.
