Retrospective of Hulk Hogan’s life and career that essentially also maps the rise of professional wresting into the mainstream. Particularly liked that they got so much of Linda’s perspective here, also. Even though they ended up separating, it was clear there was a lot of love for each other still. I think the final episode was the weakest, and not just because it covers his lean into his MAGA era. It’s just sort of structurally much messier than the other episodes, incorporating the (useless) Trump interviews and the odd Werner Herzog bits. Hulk Hogan was truly larger than life.
- Drinelson21. května 2026Hulk Hogan was definitely an interesting man. It was cool to learn about him from his own words right before he passed. This is a fun and quick watch. You’ll for sure learn something new about him… even if you think you know all there is to know.

That tension gives the story its edge. What lingers most is the reminder of his cultural impact. Hogan didn’t just perform—he defined eras, inspired generations, and built something that still stands today. The documentary subtly pushes back against the tendency to reduce legacies to their lowest moments, suggesting that history ultimately weighs influence and achievement more heavily than controversy. At its core, this is a story about spectacle, ambition, and the complicated humanity behind the red-and-yellow legend. And no matter where you land on the man himself, it’s hard to deny the seismic mark he left on the world of wrestling.
