Japonské anime vypráví o tajné organizaci Hellsing, která potírá ghouly a upíry a chrání před nimi obyvatelstvo moderní Velké Británie. Jejich nejlepším "lovcem" je mocný Alucard, sám upír. Organizace Hellsing si nyní musí poradit se znepokojivou aktivitou "nových" upírů - lidí změněných na upíry pomocí zvláštních čipů. Další hlavní postavou je policejní dívka Seras Victoria, kterou Alucard zachrání před smrtí jen za cenu její proměny v upíra.

Oldy and Goody, that still holds up. Will really miss William Morgan Sheppard's deep voice (RIP) and wish he had done a lot more voice work.

Dark atmosphere, intense fights, and one insanely overpowered main character — that’s Hellsing in a nutshell. Personally, the pacing felt a bit slow for me and it’s not entirely my genre, but I can see the appeal. Watching a stylish protagonist wield guns against other equally powerful vampires is undeniably cool. The slightly older animation style gives it a unique vibe, and despite its age, the action sequences still look fantastic. If you’re into gritty, gothic settings and badass characters, this one’s worth checking out.
