- Dragonbearwizardpřed 1 dnemwow i can't believe they made a filler series to fit between Z and GT. it stops being good halfway through, it's all a big joke, toriyama trolled us from beyond the grave, what a beast! they really took the complaints about the lazy animations in super to heart though, it LOOKS great but the story is just worse GT, the gang comes along and they suffer from superman disease, there's nothing they can't handle dispite everyone constantly telling you their perdicament hinders them, sometimes they stop being gods so that side characters can beat someone up. some of the gags are funny, some characters are fun but are resolved in the most generic way possible or just become irrelevant immediately after they served their purpose. also power seems completely arbitrary, i know it's common in dragonball but it still makes me roll my eyes when the same guy that just got rekt with no extra power can now punch the lights out of the bloke that just mixed his entrails up inside body.

It's genuinely hard not to smile when you're watching Kid Goku beat down more bad guys like in the original Dragon Ball series. Akira Toriyama, thank you for this incredible finale to your work in general. Rest in peace, good sir.

Watching Goku and the crew turned small again somehow makes the world feel big and fun all over, with great animation, classic humor, and that sense of goofy adventure I feel has been missing. It feels like a love letter to old-school Dragon Ball while still delivering exciting fights and heartfelt moments.
