Byker Grove was a British television series which aired between 1989 and 2006 and was created by Adele Rose. The show was broadcast at 5.10pm after Newsround on CBBC on BBC One. It was aimed at an older teenager and young adult audience, tackling serious and sometimes controversial storylines.

Episode 135Teraise is angered when she discovers that a free poster of a pop band had been defaced by her newspaper deliver. She confronts him and he apologises as he was only doing it in protest for girls to start liking boy bands for their singing talent instead of how good looking they are.

Episode 136Phillip is taken by Teraise to meet Geoff at the Grove. However on the way there Gruff, a wayward goat, follows them. Angered that Teraise didn't pay him any attention, Jack arranges to have Gruff taken to the slaughterhouse (which is where he was from to begin with). Teraise and Phillip save Gruff from his fate.

Cher and Harry argue as Cher decides to perform solo as Madonna instead of performing as ABBA with Harry. Harry decides to get revenge on Cher by pulling the plug on the cassette player proving to everyone that she was miming.
