- joeowens5167. dubna 2026What a wild ride. Nice Cage is maniac in this film and an absolute pleasure to watch. His performance kinda reminds me of Bates in It American Psycho in the best way.  Addiction and abuse are a strong theme throughout. The vicious cycle between the vampire and their victims. I will give this another rewatch around Halloween. I hopefully will pick up on more details of the movie. But if not, I will enjoy Nick Cage roaming New York with fake vampire teeth.

But when his vampiric pixie dream girl eventually spurns him, he takes a rapid descent into madness. Cage eats a live cockroach. And that’s not the craziest part of his performance. Slipping in and out of different accents, exaggerated gaits and movements, bizarro facial expressions—this is like nothing I’ve ever seen. King. Honestly, a must watch.
- Desmond Dale24. ledna 2025You ever watch viral clips of a film and they're so batshit insane you expect them to be more tame when taken in context? Well Vampire's Kiss is such just as preposterous when imbibed as a whole as are the crazy snippets of Cage. It's kind of slow and and difficult to follow in the beginning as it's unfolding this terrible yet undeniably entertaining M. Night like twist. But it completely satiates my urge to see Cage in a devout exhibition of German expressionism and answers a question I didn't even know I had until I witnessed it...Giving glimpses of perhaps how an American Psycho led Cage would have panned out. Cage is so volatile and relentlessly unpredictable that by the time the plot action ramps up halfway through you'll stop caring about the quality of the vehicle altogether.
