Death and rebirth, but make it love, crime and music. Yes. Fuck yes. The movies!
- Rick17. května 2026Went cause I’m a Dolby whore, and today was the only chance to see this in that format. Ended up really enjoying the movie. Time flew by, plot was engaging, and it didn’t make the mistake of throwing in some huge action set piece towards the end, like so many movies in this style would be tempted to do. They were also passing out Dustin Hoffman bobble heads for some reason. So now I have one of those. 🤷♂️

Went to a 10:10 AM showing after being up all night. Surprised at the turnout! And that I only fell asleep once!! Did not like coming out to that blinding light!! A slow, well-filmed heist film tho the conflict feels ripped right out of a Law & Order episode, and it even brought Danielle Melnick (played by Tovah Feldshuh) Hilarious that a bullhorn while wearing ear protection was more effective than a close up gun shot without lolol It’s definitely a little extra. It’s as if it thinks it’s on Whiplash’s level when more realistically it’s Chico Marx in any Marx Bros film Gobsmacked that this guy also made The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist (so of course I can’t resist putting them right next to each other in my 2026 Ranked list) Currently Ranked #40/85 in 2026 Ranked Added to Whom Goest Up, Must Cometh Down
