- DEXAPLEX12. června 2026I'm aware no one will agree with me on this, but both Tombstone and The Untouchables are the exact same brand of dumb. I was a kid when these movies were released and perhaps it was my mistake waiting until i was a full-grown adult to watch them for the first time. I could see how they might be charming in the 90s but today, they're just not holding up for me. Sorry. That said, Val Kilmer is the best part of the on-screen talent and the film has some cool shots and nice moments. I'd rather watch Appaloosa (2008).
- Jay Marie Bailey3. června 2026If you enjoy westerns this is a must watch, if you are a player of the game Red Dead Redemption this is also a must watch many Easter eggs in the game from this movie. Amazing cast, location & attention to details. It can be a bit busy at time as many characters stories are being told at the same time. I'm not a massive fan of the older generation of western, I tend to find them a bit dated this one doesn't fall into that category. Looks great in 4k. Kurt as the lead delivers a great performance but Val delivers one of his career best performances.
- naren shenoy10. prosince 2025I’m revisiting this movie after nearly 20 years since my last viewing. I remember as a teenager that grew up with the Spaghetti Westerns, that I had high expectations for this movie, but left the theater feeling a bit underwhelmed. But then everyone kept referencing Val Kilmer in this role, and it became an iconic/pop culture role for him. I watched it again in my early 20s, appreciating it more, but still underwhelmed. Here I am in my 40s and watching it with a different lens. And I loved it. The opening sequence in particular is very reminiscent of the Spaghetti Westerns. And even though I had not seen the movie in decades, I practically echoed “Aw Hell” with Wyatt when Josephine walked in…. so apparently it did sink in, I just did not realize it. I also now appreciate the star studded cast with many actors and actresses becoming household names today. I never saw the other Wyatt Earp so cannot compare the two as many so often do. But I guess that is a commentary in and of itself
- Doc Holidae2. dubna 2025Many people assume that I chose my nickname because of Styles P, but the real inspiration comes from this movie, it's where I decided to call myself "Doc Holidae". It's spelled differently, of course, but 'Tombstone' is my all-time favorite Western of all-time, and Doc Holliday is one of my favorite characters (second only to The Joker)... I’m your huckleberry! 😉 Still think that's one of the coolest scenes in movie history... R.I.P. Val Kilmer!

Každé město má svou historii, ale Tombstone se stalo legendou. Do arizonského města Tombstone, útočiště těch největších desperátů Divokého západu, přichází soudce Wyatt Earp, aby zde spolu se svými dvěma bratry a jejich rodinami začal nový život. Earp nechce zasahovat do záležitostí města, ale vlivem okolností je vtažen do krvavé přestřelky se zločinci v OK Corral. Když v boji zahyne jeden z jeho bratrů, Earp složí šerifskou přísahu a rozhodne se vyčistit město jednou pro vždycky. Podaří se mu zneškodnit mnohé zločince, ale jejich vůdce, nejrychlejší pistolník v celém okolí - Johny Ringo, pořád uniká. Earp ví, že Ringa ve střelbě nikdy nepřekoná, ale navzdory tomu bez váhání souhlasí s jeho výzvou na souboj ve dvojici. Zdá se, že o Earpově životě, jakož i osudu města Tombstone je rozhodnuto. Předem jasný průběh událostí však dostává trochu jiný směr, když do rozhodujícího duelu vstoupí Earpův přítel, hazardní hráč Doc Holliday.
