What makes this movie stand out or you can say different is its unique storytelling, focusing on the journey toward the killer's ultimate fate. It’s a very emotional watch that really makes you reflect on the 1970s, a time when it was terrifyingly easy for serial killers to get away with their crimes without getting caught.

I mean, was that sinkhole in the fucking shire?? “But I was too busy thinking about the length of Ray Singh’s…….eyelashes” yeah, okay, Peter The idea that the story is being “accurately” depicted as being told by a 14-year-old girl is hilarious. It makes for some wonderfully cheesy narration. The entire film is melodramatic as hell haha and an interesting sound design! Wahlberg is such a bad actor lmao I think it was rubbing off on Rachel Weisz! Susan Sarandon was the only bright spot. I can’t be too hard on Saoirse tho she did what she could, I guess! Crazy the wind stopped blowing right when she stopped going after that piece of paper! I wonder if James Wan / Leigh Whannell got the idea for “The Further” from Insidious from this Hilarious how much spelling out it does. Half of the film is over-explaining and reiterating lol How did this man build and tear down an underground clubhouse without arousing any suspicion? Then dude demolishes it before destroying the evidence? The dad is an idiot and a douche and a damn weirdo! Why am I sticking up for the cops in an imaginary situation?? Love how the dad picked the rose off of the guy’s bush right in front of him all nonchalantly Looks very expensive and fake!! But all the beautiful lighting in the world couldn’t save this film! How is this on peoples’ lists of “screwed uo movies”? lol Was gonna make a joke about the score but then I realized the song it was reminding me of was a Bedwetter song so I’ll keep that one in the chamber for now lol but seriously go listen to “this is not my stomach”

Susie je čtrnáctiletá holka, která udělala tu chybu, že šla jednoho dne ze školy domů zkratkou přes pole. A tam potkala pana Harveyho, který ji připravil o život. V jejím případě ale smrtí všechno nekončí. Susie se ocitá ve zvláštním světě mezi nebem a zemí, ze kterého pozoruje, jak probíhá pátrání po jejím vrahovi a zároveň drží palce členům své rodiny, aby její náhlý odchod ustáli. Není to jednoduché – tatínkovi Jackovi se smysl života smrsknul na touhu nalézt a potrestat toho, kdo jim způsobil tu strašnou ztrátu. Máma Abigail se pro změnu snaží co nejlíp zakonzervovat dceřinu památku, až se v domácím mauzoleu začne dusit a uteče z něho. Zbývající děti, Lindsay a Buckley, se se ztrátou své sestry snaží vyrovnat úměrně svému věku a zároveň získat pozornost rodičů, kteří žijí jen pro mtrvou Susie. Jediným, kdo si v téhle krizi dokáže jakž takž zachovat chladnou hlavu, je svérázná babička Lynn, která se ze všech sil snaží udržet rozpadající se rodinu pohromadě.
