- Kevin Ward2. července 2025How do you solve a problem like Gertrude, the demented head nurse that’s spiraling into madness because of her morphine addiction? This is a solid nunsploitation flick even though it never ventures too deep into the risqué. It doesn’t have quite as much slasher goodness as I would have hoped, either, but there were a few moments that had me wincing, the human pin cushion scene being one. There’s an overall nasty and mean spirited vibe to this. It opens with some crude-ish humor (hard third leg 😆) and has s(in)ister Gertrude doing things like stomping on a woman’s dentures while she’s sobbing in front of her. In addition, though, I was taken by some of the camera work. The score in some of the scenes were really effective as well.
