- Zokkiie9. června 2026This is one of those remakes that actually justifies its existence. It takes a great premise, tightens everything up, and ends up being a much more effective movie than the original. The tension is solid throughout, the small-town atmosphere works really well, and there are a few scenes that are still surprisingly creepy. It never feels overly flashy, which honestly helps it. The downside is that it can feel a little generic at times, especially compared to the stronger horror films from the same era. Some characters are more memorable than others, and it doesn't do a whole lot that hasn't been done before. Still, it's well-paced, consistently entertaining, and knows how to keep the pressure on. Not a horror classic, but a very solid remake and, for me, the better version of the story.
- Biohazardous.21. května 2026The remake keeps the premise of the original but cranks the violence up to 11. Instead of the perspective being split the survivors and the military, it is purely on the survivors and the infected. Who in this version are always violent and look visibly sick. (which kinda kills the whole "can't tell the difference between revolting healthy and sick" thing going on in the first...) The pacing in this movie is much faster than the original.
- Daniel Taylor1. ledna 2026This is a solid B-grade horror that really leans into its premise and atmosphere. The slow burn tension and small-town collapse work well, and it’s a style of movie I’m always drawn to. I do find myself wishing it went harder with the gore and action, because when it gets brutal, it really works. Still, it’s a fun, gritty watch and very much my kind of horror.

Šerif David Dutton z provinčního městečka Ogden Marsh má nudnou práci: jeho úkolem je dohlížet na pořádek v útulném zapadákově, ve kterém se většinou nic moc neděje. Jednoho dne se ovšem jeho město změní k nepoznání. Spořádaní spoluobčané se začínají chovat zpočátku jen podivně, postupně se z nich ale stávají zuřivé vraždící bestie. Zdivočelí sousedé a přátelé se množí, nákaza šílenství se rozšířila po celém městečku a obyvatelé se navzájem vyvražďují. Šanci uniknout nemají ani ti, kteří zůstávají normální. Město obklíčila armáda a ozbrojenci ve skafandrech nekompromisně čekají, až se obyvatelé Ogden Marsh navzájem zlikvidují...
