While moving into her new apartment, Lusa finds herself struggling to maneuver a blue velvet couch through the tight confines of the building. Her physical struggle takes an emotional turn when she unexpectedly encounters her ex-boyfriend, Amir, in the hallway . Though he is initially there to visit a friend, Amir offers to help Lusa carry the heavy furniture into her new home. What begins as a simple act of assistance evolves into a night of reckoning and reflection. As the pair rearranges the couch into various positions across the living room, they are forced to navigate the "furniture" of their past relationship. Through shared wine, an impromptu dance, and confrontations over their "life-altering" history, Lusa and Amir cycle through stages of denial, anger, and eventual acceptance.
