    Another Wilder gem. The name says it all. Sunset for the silent queen: Gloria Swanson as her delusion of grandeur still affect her thinking she's relevant, sunset for Richard Widmark (my grandma loved him). Sunset for us all. It doesn't kill us Hollywood fast. It lets us linger slowly face down in a pool.

    "SUNSET BLVD" is the very definition of a true timeless CLASSIC Along with "All About Eve" and "The Bad and the Beautiful" it's the greatest film ever made about the motives, personalities and pitfalls of how Hollywood really works🎭

    "We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!" Yeah....Wilder might be one of the goats. Gloria Swanson gives a powerhouse performance as Norma Desmond. You can tell she came from the silent era of acting, she's able to do so much with just her eyes. William Holden is excellent too, delivering maybe the best ever voice-over/narration in a noir. This one is sharp, stylish, and unforgettable, even seventy years later.

    One of the greatest movies ever made.75 years old and it still plays fresh today. Watching the movie in VR replicates the big theater experience unlike anything on the small screen.
