- Frank Lofaro8. března 2026A classic. His love the 80s stiff acting style and weird practical effects. But honestly it was a story ahead of it's time. But to mention you can't pass a movie with Gene Simmons in it. He plays a great psycho.

There was something special about catching Runaway on a dedicated movie channel. No commercials and most important no interruptions. Tom Selleck plays Jack Ramsay, a cop with a fear of heights and a knack for defusing robotic disasters. Cynthia Rhodes is his sharp partner and Kirstie Alley adds intrigue and tension. But it’s Gene Simmons who steals the show, his icy stare and villainous gadgets make him the perfect hightech menace. Later, owning it on DVD is a treat. But that first viewing on a movie channel? That’s the one that sticks.

Gene Simmons, as the villainous Luther, is the film’s dark heart, oozing menacing charisma and stealing scenes with his chilling presence.
