Kotelnitch is a small town 800 km east of Moscow. The author first went on the trail of a Hungarian prisoner of war who had spent 55 years, forgotten by all, in a psychiatric hospital. He returned once do what he then thought was a documentary film, and a second time to bury a young woman he had known there, and who was murdered by a madman. He realized that these three shootings, over two years, told a story and this story was his.
