Manželská krize se dá řešit terapií, společným koníčkem, nebo... vzájemnou likvidací. Dan a Lisa se rozhodnou zachránit své skomírající manželství víkendovým pobytem na odlehlé chatě v divočině. Plán na „znovuobnovení jiskry“ je však pro oba jen zástěrkou. Každý z nich si totiž do zavazadla přibalil vražedný plán a pevné odhodlání odjet z lesů jako čerstvý vdovec či vdova. If you want a fun romp about a couple trying to kill each other this is the movie for you. Just an absolute blast with plenty of fun twists and turns.

This movie was hilarious!! I originally wanted to see it in theatres but I’m kinda glad I didn’t because I would have been laughing like a hyena throughout most of the movie! 🤣🤣 the cast was excellent and it’s always good to see Jason Segel in a good film or show!

A chaotic, dark, and violently funny ride! Samara Weaving and Jason Segel are absolutely fantastic as the disgruntled husband and wife. The stellar supporting cast perfectly backs up their incredible, chaotic chemistry. Overall, Over Your Dead Body is just an absolute blast and great fun from start to finish!

Fun Chaos That Doesn't Fully Click "Over Your Dead Body" is built on a great idea and a strong dose of dark humor, but it never fully finds the right balance to make everything work at its best. The performances are good and very committed. The chemistry between the leads carries a big part of the movie, giving energy and rhythm even when the script starts to feel less sharp. There is a clear sense of style in the direction. The tone swings between tension and comedy, and when it lands, it is genuinely entertaining. The script is where things become more uneven. It has a strong foundation, but the execution does not always keep the same level of focus. Some moments work really well, others feel less controlled. Because of that, the movie feels inconsistent. It keeps you engaged, but it never fully clicks into something more memorable. In the end, it is a fun and easy watch, with enough personality to be enjoyable, but also clear limits that hold it back.

American comedy writers think it is a amusing to put people in impossible situations and then have them bicker argue and carry on like pork chops. The actors do a great job but the script is annoying.

This is a great movie technically, the effects are great, the acting is really good, great direction. But, it just feels like something is lost in translation, it didn't pick a good lane between horror and comedy.

A little diamond comedy with a good dose of ghoulishly realistic special effects. I was all prepped for this to be one of those ill executed predictable movies, but I was really happily surprised by a constantly evolving storyline, great actor timing, some dark comedy, and a real fun time watching this horror comedy. Reminded in all the good ways of 'The Ref' and prompted me to off an watch that to follow.
