- MR_BigTime19. března 2026I wanted to give Looper 5 stars, but I can't, in good conscience, reward the mess that is the audio balancing. For the most part, dialogue was inaudible without major adjustments. Turning up the volume was not an option, since music and effects were as ridiculously loud as the dialogue was quiet. Other than that, the movie was excellent. From the premise to the worldbuilding and character development to the acting, few films can compete with this one.

Smart sci-fi that doesn’t get too bogged down, with twists that actually land and a lead who really carries the story. The cast is surprisingly strong across the board, adding real weight to the wild premise. The action is solid—tense without being over the top—and even the messy bits don’t kill the vibe. Feels clever, fun, and just a little more impressive than I remembered, the kind of movie that sticks with you longer than you’d think.

The real struggle isn't with time itself, but rather with the self and its choices. The acting is outstanding, especially from Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis, and the direction is intelligent and understated, making the film more than just an action movie; it's also a thought-provoking experience.

It builds the world, set in the reasonably near future, very well where most things are recognisably realistic and familiar with nothing outrageously outlandish or entirely non-believable. A good yarn that keeps you sucked in well.
- COCO11. února 2025Been sleeping on this one for way too long and what a huge surprise. I've been meaning to watch Looper for quite sometime now and wasn't disappointed. It's an intelligent, thought provoking film about toxic masculinity, memory, and the nature of reality. Time-travel is a plot device, not a plot line, as the film exceptionally proves through it’s concise story. Joesph-Gordon Levitt proves himself time and again. Emily Blunt is a masterpiece in anything she’s in. Has some traces of the X-Men franchise mixed with Chronicle sprinkled throughout it which surprisingly blends really well.

Loopeři jsou nájemní zabijáci, kteří pracují pro zločineckou organizaci. Jejich úkol je tradiční: osoby, které jsou pro sdružení nějakým způsobem nepohodlné, zastřelí a zbaví se těla. Odměnu za vykonanou práci pak vždy najdou přímo u své oběti. A za svou krvavou práci jsou placeni opravdu velice dobře. Existuje pro ně pouze jediné pravidlo – za žádnou cenu nikdy nesmí nechat svůj cíl utéct. Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) patří mezi loopery, spolehlivě vykonává svou práci a užívá si luxusního, bezstarostného života. A to platí až do chvíle, kdy dostane další zakázku. K jeho velkému překvapení se totiž před jeho připravenou zbraní objeví on sám, jen o něco starší (Bruce Willis). Tato situace se mohla přihodit jedině díky další zvláštnosti této práce – organizace looperům totiž jejich „klienty“ posílá z budoucnosti. Popravované oběti jsou transportovány zpět v čase a to přímo před hlaveň určeného loopera. A Joeovi zbývá jen zlomek vteřiny k zásadnímu rozhodnutí – má zastřelit sám sebe?
