Režie: Francis LawrenceRobert Neville je sice špičkový vědec, ale ani on nedokázal zabránit šíření nebezpečného viru, který byl vyvinut lidmi a nedá se léčit. Neville je z neznámého důvodu vůči viru imunní a jako jediný příslušník lidského rodu žije v troskách New York City. Možná je dokonce posledním žijícím člověkem na planetě. Už tři roky, den co den, vysílá do éteru svou zprávu a hledá další přeživší. Neville však není úplně sám. Ze stínů jej pozorují zmutované oběti celosvětové pandemie, kteří sledují každý jeho krok a čekají, až udělá osudovou chybu. Nevillea, který je dost možná jedinou nadějí celého světa, drží při životě jediná myšlenka: zvrátit dopad viru tím, že ze své krve vyrobí lék. Stojí však sám proti zbytku světa a čas hraje proti němu…

- Tubz12. ledna 2026Reboot of The Omega Man, but with a new spin, pre-warning of COVID and yet the scientists still haven't learnt to be careful and continue to risk a extinction level infection, CGI now looking data but different to the original in looking at relationships from both human and infected sides. I always feel sorry for Sam :(

It hasn’t aged perfectly—its visual effects were already considered weak even at the time—but the story still resonates. I especially appreciate the contrast between moments of serenity and bursts of frenzy, which give the film its unique rhythm. I Am Legend will always hold a special place in my heart, and I give it a strong rating for that reason. By the way, don’t miss the alternate ending—it’s set to become canon in the upcoming sequel.
