- Braden28. ledna 2025"For me, the action is the Juice. I'm in." Heat is the cornerstone of the 'Hell Yeah' movie pantheon. Mann's crime-drama oozes style, highlighting a gritty, grainy Los Angeles crime scene. Helmed by Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, Heat features one of the best action set pieces of all time. Come for the action, stay for the existential melodrama. A true work of art that I'd recommend to anyone.
- Abe Froman16. května 2025Best god damn movie. 125th viewing. Muah!
- Csv filetpřed 5 dnySound design is immaculate. Fantastic movie
- Zokkiiepřed 7 dnyNearly three hours long, and somehow I still wanted more. The attention to detail is incredible, from the way the robberies are carried out to the little moments showing how these people live when they're not working. Pacino and De Niro are both fantastic, and their scenes together have a weight that most crime films can only dream of. Then there's that legendary downtown shootout, which sounds absolutely deafening and makes most modern action scenes feel weirdly weightless by comparison. Michael Mann really knew what he was doing here. The length is probably my biggest complaint, since some of the personal drama could've been trimmed without losing much. A few storylines also get more attention than they really need. But I love how the film gives both sides their own code, their own problems and their own reasons for doing what they do. Nobody gets an easy out, and the consequences feel real. It's a little rough around the edges, but the atmosphere, performances and sheer craftsmanship make this one hell of a crime film.
