Uběhne pár minut a Michael Myers už zase chodí ulicemi města, které se připravuje na halloweenskou noc, a úspěšně zvyšuje počet svých obětí. Zpráva o tom, že z její pasti unikl, se dostane i k Laurie, která si je jistá, že když Michaela porazila jednou, porazí ho i podruhé. Jen bude potřebovat pomoc. From goofy chants to entire populations of people mistaking a tall, slender man for someone who resembles Danny Devito, there is no end to the stupidity of this movie. The kill count is high and some kills are noteworthy but the rest of the movie is a goofy and illogical mess. Halloween 2018 showed promise but that was instantly obliterated by this nonsensical idiocy.
- Carlos Ibarra10. dubna 2025Fucking awesome! Best Halloween movie in decades. It was such a nice palate cleanser after that pandering last entry. Aside from the crazy, brutal kills, it plays with awesome themes, and deepens the mythology of Myers. All while doing the key thing most slasher films forget, making you feel for the victims and showing the real aftermath of death. Sure, there are some cheesy deliveries, and a few things are played over the top, but that doesn't diminish everything great this one does.
- "THE MOVIE FANATIC"27. března 2026Halloween Kills 🎃 🔪 - starts where Halloween 2018 left off in the same vain as Halloween 2 1981 taking place on the same night as Halloween 1978 so there's good continuity & momentum off the back of H18 in that aspect. Also the cinematography, shots & lighting is still very well done!! The kills are awesome here and one thing that I will say about Halloween Kills the movie 💯 lives up to its title there's no doubt about that and the part where Michael is walking out of the burning house, is one of the best moments in the entire Halloween franchise and where he kills all of the firemen was awesome!! I think I love the mask even more in H Kills than I do in H18 tbh because I loved how the burns are ingrained into the mask that's such a cool and a highly effective detail they did there I loved it and of course James Jude Courtney's performance as The Shape is absolutely top tier here he's intimidating, brutal & badass 👌👌 But what I loved & appreciated the most about Halloween Kills is the flashback scene to 1978 the night Michael was caught, I thought how they done the whole setting to make it look and feel like the 1978 classic was truly phenomenal, clearly a lot of work, effort and attention to detail went into that flashback scene I thought the whole flashback scene was fantastic and how they made it look & sound like the late and great Donald Pleasance R.I.P was awesome it really was. However despite the moments, sequences, parts and setpieces I loved about Halloween Kills the stuff I didn't like I really disliked and they are big issues that I have with the film and here they are!! First of all the horrendous dialogue and the whole evil dies tonight bullshit and with that there trying to make it all thematically rich and all that but that's not what Halloween is supposed to be about it's a very simple concept and they try and add all of these themes to it that don't make sense and worst of your ruining and taking away the mystique from one of if not the most iconic horror villain of all time what were they thinking seriously 🤦 Also I hated that they made Halloween Kills a carbon copy of Halloween 2 1981 where they had Laurie Strode relegated to a hospital bed for nearly the whole movie it's been done before and much better as well. But OMG my main issue that I have with this film literally to the point where its very distracting is that the suspect the whole town of Haddonfield think is Michael Myers has absolutely no description to Michael whatsoever. The so called Michael Myers suspect is a very accurate description of Danny Devito's penguin more like, whoever made that choice to cast that actor as the Michael Myers suspect needed to have a pay cut because that was truly unforgivable and a massive error. That's all they had to do was cast somebody 6ft and of a very similar frame & build as Michael and immediately that issue completely goes away and the film goes up half a star that's how much I hated that bit of the film. And last of all the whole bit where Michael is taking out the whole gang that's after him at the end was very poorly shot it was shockingly bad. Overall Halloween Kills 🎃🔪 isn't by any means the worst entry in the franchise, but imo is one of if not the most disappointing entry though so for that I'm going to give Halloween Kills ⭐️⭐️⭐️ but only just I heavily debated back and forth whether to give it a 2.5 or a 3/5 rating but then it's such a good looking movie and the acting is a lot better from JLC here even though she was on the hospital bed for most of the movie and what that flashback scene as well so in that regard and for those reasons I couldn't give it a 2.5 but my ⭐️⭐️⭐️ score doesn't change the big issues that I have with this film.
- Carter19. března 2026Halloween Kills is one of those movies that have so much potential to be something cool but end up failing to do so. Now to look of Micheal Myers mask is really cool with the burnt look on it. The kills, like the title suggests, are really brutal and creative; the film also contains one of the best scenes in the entire franchise when Micheal emerges from the fire. Everything else tho is just not good. The dialogue is not very good. The characters are poorly written and make some of the dumbest and infuriating decisions of the entire franchise. The film overall could have been something cool but it just wasn’t.

- jackmeat11. srpna 2025My quick rating - 6.4/10. David Gordon Green’s Halloween Kills picks up immediately where the 2018 Halloween left off, and the continuity here deserves real credit. The transition feels seamless. It’s almost as if the previous film’s credits roll right into this one. Given how that finale unfolded, bringing the story forward in such a plausible way is a feat in itself. And let’s be honest, after the restrained carnage of the last entry, every fan (myself included) was calling for a higher body count. Green and his writing crew clearly heard the cries from the burning Strode house and answered them. The result? Michael Myers — still credited as “The Shape” and once again inhabited by Nick Castle — is mad as hell, and it shows. The film doesn’t rely on gratuitous gore, but it definitely delivers on numbers. The kills are varied, brutal, and carry that satisfying rhythm you expect from a slasher who’s had decades to perfect his craft. The atmosphere throughout is appropriately grim, aided by moody lighting and camera work that constantly keeps your eyes scanning every dark corner of the frame, waiting for him to appear. While Halloween Kills dives straight into the chaos, it also gives a quick refresher course for anyone who somehow missed the last forty years of mayhem. Back in Haddonfield, a group of survivors from previous encounters gather to remember the victims — a nice touch that reintroduces legacy characters. Of course, nostalgia only goes so far before The Shape shows up to remind them what they’re remembering. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode, though this time she spends more of the runtime sidelined due to her injuries from the previous film. Still, her presence looms large. What’s more interesting is the film’s attempt to expand the psychological and even philosophical questions around Myers — why does he kill? Why Laurie? The script flirts with the idea of deeper motives, and I couldn’t help but wonder if they were teasing some throwback to the old Thorn cult lore, though it’s never made explicit. Not everything hits perfectly. The film gets bogged down during a long, drawn-out mob sequence meant to showcase how fear and chaos infect small-town America. The idea works thematically, but the execution overstays its welcome, much like a party guest who doesn’t realize the music’s been turned off. I had a similar complaint about pacing in the 2018 installment, and it creeps up again here. Still, Halloween Kills succeeds in making Michael Myers terrifying once more. It’s meaner, bloodier, and closer to what long-time fans expect when the Boogeyman returns home. As a mid-trilogy entry, it’s both satisfying and clearly sets the stage for the grand finale, Halloween Ends. For #Shocktober viewing, it’s a solid entry in the franchise and one that reminds us that evil doesn’t die tonight, but it sure makes a mess trying.
