Cancer is a major cause of death and for doctor's it is a constant challenge to "crack the code". With exclusive access to a medical unit at a leading cancer hospital in Denmark the film follows a team of doctors over a 12 months period as they work on a new treatment to cure cancer called T-cell therapy. The treatment is still experimental, but doctors are tremendously optimistic of the effect. In the trials half of the patients experience that the tumors get smaller and 20% of patients are cancer free at the end of the treatment.
