The film see's "Elvis" preparing for his first Concert in Las Vegas, but wracked with nerves "Elvis" re-lives the events of his Life, and his rise to stardom that have led him to that point. Kurt Russel is terrific as ""Elvis", and the movie and subject matter is handled expertly and respectfully by John Carpenter whose guiding hand can be felt in every frame of the film.
