We’ve seen movies about blind faith (andhabhakti) before, but Dug Dug stands out because it actually shows you the whole process, rather than just mocking belief, the film takes you on the complete step-by-step journey of how a fake religion is birthed, branded, and commercialized. The first half drags a little and feels a bit dry, but once the second half hits, it gets really good! Seeing how Thakur Sa’s presence takes over everyone's minds is wild. The most crazy part is watching people who didn't even believe in it at first end up joining the cult by the end anyway. Definitely worth a watch if you like dark social satires.
