Nad třemi díly legendární počítačové hry Doom probděli nadšení příznivci akčních stříleček bezpočet nocí. Nastal čas, aby ve šlépějích hry vykročilo i její filmové zpracování. Vědecký tým, pracující na odlehlé základně na planetě Mars, začal na Zemi posílat čím dál nepříjemnější zprávy. Výsledky experimentů jsou zneklidňující, řady vědců záhadně řídnou, a tak vládě nezbývá, než základnu izolovat do nejpřísnější karantény a vyslat na Mars jednotku rychlého nasazení – po zuby ozbrojené elitní mariňáky, kteří mají za úkol zjistit, co se stalo, a eliminovat jakoukoliv hrozbu. Aspoň takový byl původní plán. Jenže realita překonává nejhorší představy. Výzkumnému týmu se totiž nekontrolovanými pokusy podařilo doslova otevřít brány do pekel, z nichž se vynořily davy hrůzostrašných monster, která slídí po chodbách základny a likvidují vše živé. Je vůbec v lidských silách tuhle strašlivou noční můru zastavit?

- Richard12. prosince 2025Doom crawled out of the bargain bin where I found it and honestly, that’s exactly where it should’ve stayed. Marines with big guns, monsters on Mars and yet somehow it manages to feel like a discount knock off of its own game.

This will also disappoint you, unless you're between the ages of 10 to 13 and have no idea what a good story consists of or needs.

It’s loud, gory, and gloriously over-the-top, just like a good fragfest should be. Karl Urban brings gritty intensity, while The Rock (before he was Dwayne Johnson) goes full beast mode in one of his most brutal early roles. The film knows exactly what it is — a no-apologies, sci-fi action rampage. And that first-person shooter scene? A straight-up love letter to gamers. It’s cheesy, yes. But it delivers the monsters, guns, and Mars-based mayhem we signed up for. Not high art — just high adrenaline. For fans of the franchise, it’s a cult classic that doesn’t pretend to be anything else. Hell has never looked this fun.
