Děj se odehrává na kolonizované planetě pojmenované Nový svět. Todd Hewitt jako ostatní věří, že virový zárodek vypuštěný původními obyvateli zabil všechny ženy a zapříčinil, že muži a zvířata na planetě mají svůj Hluk. To jsou jejich myšlenky, které jsou volně slyšitelné. Jednou ovšem narazí na záhadné ticho. Brzy zjistí zdroj ticha: je jím tajemná žena jménem Viola Eade. Spolu se za dramatických okolností dozvídají více o skutečné historii Nového světa.

    I don't remember even hearing about this movie. It's completely unremarkable. Tom Holland is fine, and so are the other actors. I watched this before I went to bed. The next day, I had to go back and watch the end again because I thought I'd fallen asleep and missed it. Nope, it was just boring and forgettable. I wanted to like this movie and it seems to have a solid start but it just kinda goes nowhere. +

    Ah, HA! I knew I'd read a book that was basically this movie with less "Catholic documentary" vibes!... Book was better overall, but the movie has a way cooler name... Spoiler alert, and much less graphic than the book.... The Preacher kills a dog, and wants ALL women dead, for... Ya know... Preacher things. Still a great representation of Catholicism throughout the ages though! History buffs will surely GO NUTS for this one!

    This movie somehow has flown under the radar for legendary bad movies despite being an incredible big budget dumpster fire. It is Jupiter Ascending levels of mess because of how deranged the premise and plot are, and Tom Holland being a protagonist psychic incel just tests your pain threshold to suffer through this. This movie Chaos Walks so Madame could Web.

    Meh... I did like it. I wanted to like it more. The chemistry was there, but dang... just didn't do much with it. Not disappointed to watch it at all, just felt there was something left on the table.
