A western moralizing about violence towards woman turns out to be just an excuse to show women being abused. It’s a Euro western and looks the part. And that part is the only redeeming part. Freaks and people that buy into this being daring may enjoy but I did not.

Very well done. Realism in the hard times of women in the old west and the depravity of men of authority and position.

This was a great movie chronicling a mother's love and the sacrifices made to protect her child against an evil force using religion to abuse and torture women who do not obey his twisted desires.
