Wesley Snipes is electric in the lead role, delivering razor‑sharp fight choreography and a cool, commanding presence that defines the character. The action sequences are some of the film’s biggest strengths, blending martial arts, gunplay, and supernatural flair into something genuinely exciting. The supporting cast and lore help ground the film, making its universe feel expansive without over explaining. Where Blade stumbles is in its finale. The showdown with Deacon Frost, while conceptually strong, suffers from dated, cartoonish CGI that undercuts the tension. Still, the film’s energy, world‑building, and unforgettable lead performance make it a standout and a strong start to the trilogy.

Also, funny story, (I was watching this with my dad) when we had about 15-20 minutes left, my younger brother (8, turning 9 next month came into the room and my dad told him to leave the room because he didn't want to stay up until 3 am because of nightmares lol

- DK12. května 2025The best and the only true Vampire movie that's not cringe and lame, Wesley Snipes was great in this. Loved it as a kid, and everytime I come back to it to watch it again I always enjoy it. Also has one of the best opening scenes of any movie, and for many of us was the gateway to the rave scene that we grew up with in 2000's.

The fight scenes are intense, the blood rave intro is iconic, and the whole film has a unique '90s edge. The story’s a bit basic and some effects haven’t aged great, but it’s still a fun, badass ride that helped shape modern superhero movies. Definitely worth a watch.
