Vydali se do míst, kam živí nepatří. V pařížských katakombách se ukrývá zcela neznámý prostor lákající mnoho průzkumníků a badatelů ze všech koutů světa. Vstoupit lze zdarma, ale nakonec můžete zaplatit i cenu nejvyšší. Scarlett Marlowe studuje na univerzitě obor městská archeologie a Paříž je pro ni z tohoto pohledu pravý ráj. V podzemí se tu vinou stovky kilometrů chodeb, v nichž je vepsaná historie města. Při studiu starých map narazí na záznamy o tajemné podzemní místnosti, kterou se rozhodne najít a prozkoumat. Své nadšení a odhodlání nakonec přenese i na partu speleologů a dobrodruhů. Přemluví je, aby ji do „dolní“ Paříže doprovodili. Hned na začátku cesty míjejí nápis s varováním, že vstupují do říše mrtvých, bohužel ho ještě neberou vážně. O pár hodin později už ale všichni na vlastní kůži poznají, že se smrtí není radno si zahrávat, protože vás taková hra může stát i život.

- jasonfin28. dubna 2026A reasonable effort and a reasonable watch. I'm not a particularly fan of found footage movies which I find jarring to watch but this is definitely one of the better ones and if you do enjoy FF, then this will be right up your street.

- arkemiffo17. září 2025One of my favourite found footage. There are some hokey elements to it, sure, but they keep a tight connection to The Divine Comedy, and lots of the later parts of the movie are very much a direct result of that. A must-see in the found footage genre.
- jackmeat27. září 2025My quick rating - 6.5/10. Not sure what @Oklahoma Ward and @Nicole Alonso did to me, but after #CRAWLorDIE it seems movies are all about caves, tunnels, and claustrophobia. Anyway, shameless plug aside, this movie is a very well-done flick that keeps you wondering what's next. It takes a little bit to get going, but after it does, it holds the audience quite well. The acting is as expected, but I found the "interview" like scenes with Perdita Weeks as Scarlett doing a good job pulling you into the story. Yep, there is a story, even if it is far-fetched. It is your hidden underground labyrinth with a hidden item (in this case, a healing stone) that has been buried for centuries in the world's largest tomb. The imagery of crawling around over bones and walking through corridors of skulls, etc., really brings out the atmosphere and makes the "found footage" take some validity for once and not use it as just a gimmick. The scares are there, subtly, but effective. After tons of "found footage" movies getting the idea completely wrong and just using the handi cam this way, finally, another movie gets it right. Giving a feel of other movies, such as Descent and the exceptional Crawl or Die, with the horror and claustrophobic sense seems to be working as of late, and this is another that does it quite well. Definitely, a good watch and such a cool ending to the whole story that drives you to "the only way out is to keep going down." After seeing the end, you will know what I mean. A great finish to a good entry into the genre.

I found myself waiting for the film to find its footing, but after multiple attempts to engage with the story, I simply gave up. It's a prime example of a great cover and a captivating title that fail to deliver on their promise. A hard pass
