- Mark Jonespřed 1 dnemApex (2026) is a tense, fast-paced survival thriller elevated by Charlize Theron’s strong lead performance. The Australian wilderness adds gritty danger and atmosphere, while the gripping cat-and-mouse action stays exciting throughout. Taron Egerton’s villain feels a bit over-the-top at times, but it’s one of the better recent action thrillers.

- Maluhawk25. dubna 2026Okay so we watched this in the middle of the night with the lights off and my wife basically glued herself to my arm the whole time — that's how you know it's good. The plot is pretty simple: woman goes on a trip to Australia to clear her head, ends up getting hunted by a serial killer instead. Rough vacation. Charlize Theron is awesome in it and Taron Egerton plays a super creepy villain which was honestly unexpected. Some of the CGI is pretty obvious and the characters make some really dumb choices — like, stop climbing mountains, people, that's literally how you get into this mess. Bottom line: It's suspenseful, it's fun, and it'll make you never want to go hiking again. Watch it.

- Rob Logan | The Geek Generationpřed 1 dnemApex is a properly tense film throughout most of its runtime, whether that be dangling from a mountainside, being a woman alone among creepy men, or trying to survive the cat-and-mouse game. Charlize Theron gives it her all, and Taron Egerton is doing the absolute most, to great effect. The film could have had more thematic resonance, as the resolution felt a bit aimless, and the way it looks had me questioning whether or not I was looking at nature or a CGI environment. I can’t help but wonder if someone just really liked the dual meaning of “apex” and decided to write a whole movie that addresses both to validate using it as a clever title.

- shirazesatpřed 2 dnyA surprisingly good thriller/horror, following a formula we've seen many times before. Well worth a watch - excellent acting, thrilling scenes, something for adrenaline junkies. A reminder that snakes, spiders, crocs, etc aren't the most dangerous creatures in the world.

Lawrence Sher shoots the Troll Wall like a love letter, then Kormákur edits it like he’s afraid of his own footage: frantic cuts, suffocating close-ups and every wide shot abandoned before it earns anything. Theron does her own stunts; the camera refuses to trust her body. In my opinion: Alone (2020) did this with a fraction of the budget and ten times the nerve. So for me it’s a Netflix slop with a great DP and nowhere to put him.

- Niztradamuspřed 3 dnyApex is does have a good story, good tension, beautiful scenery but characters that are as unlikeable as they come. There is only one character that has more than one or two voice lines that was likeable and that character is only on screen for one scene at the very beginning. Sasha (C. Theron) is rude to everyone. Ben (T. Egerton) is a psychopath. These two share the majority of the screen time. Without spoiling the ending, I was really hoping both would just die. It took an otherwise good movie down to 2.5 stars and I am being generous here since I belive the rest was actually good. Don't expect a Wolf Creek but the direction is similar but MUCH softer. If you can overlook the awful characters this is a fine movie worth your time. I won't be rewatching it anytime soon though.

The landscapes, kayaking an climbing scene make this film worthwhile How it is possible a for a crazed psycho killer to keep up with the woman in a kayak on fast moving rapids a just keep turning up out of the bush. why would he give his hunting victim pepper spray? Why does bad guy just kill woman and have done with it. Well we need her for some more climbing scenes.Bad guy is amazingly stupid.
