Teasing stories that go nowhere. the bumbling idiot trope, but less bumbling idiot and more avoidant, narcissistic, lead character. I recommend for a watch. but it could be just as annoying for you as it was for me. still really fun at moments. watch and find what you enjoy!
- Peter Bickford13. června 2025This one's actually a bit of an odd duck. Scorsese's wild night in the city is filled with memorable performances, but it comes off ultimately as a bit low key. It never reaches wacky comedy levels of crazy, but it's too strange to be a character study. More of a "Everyone in this town is crazy" sort of affair.

I'd liken it to playing a sexually provocative point and click while getting increasingly drunk with the heating turned up to max. It's a frantic, exciting, confusingly woven stop and start sweat bead of a movie. Keep a cold bottle of water nearby. Highly recommended.
