Režie: Roland EmmerichMayský kalendář by měl dosáhnout konce svého třináctého cyklu 21. prosince 2012 a po tomto datu už podle nejmoudřejších mužů této dávné civilizace není nic. To samozřejmě vybízí k otázce: pokud kalendář nepokračuje, co se pak bude dít? Když před mnoha staletími po sobě Mayové zanechali svůj kalendář s jasným koncovým datem, popsali také, co bude následovat. Do dnešních dní stejnou věc objevili astrologové, numerologové odhalili vzory, které ji předpovídají, geologové míní, že už k ní dávno mělo dojít, a dokonce ani vládní vědci nejsou schopni zamlčet katastrofu biblických rozměrů, která na naši planetu čeká v roce 2012. Proroctví, na jehož počátku stáli právě Mayové, je nyní podrobně zaznamenané, prodiskutované, rozebrané a prozkoumané. V roce 2012 zjistíme pravdu o předpovídané povodni. A nemůžeme říci, že jsme nebyli varováni...

- Blake Singleton17. října 2025Bad but in the best way. 2012 isn’t a movie that takes itself seriously. It’s all about how ridiculous the director can make things. Even down to the cringy moments where a character says something like “It feels like something is always tearing us apart.” Then the floor cracks in two, literally separating them. Like, WUT? Hilarious. 9/10

How long is this movie? No. It never ends. Who didn't see the step-dad biting the big one for being a good guy? Me! Me! Pick me! *Crushed unnecessarily in an oversized gear* The whole Earth is collapsing everywhere except in the place where you land the plane? The whole Earth is collapsing and the government spaceships that are actually Arks for floating on water will save the human race? China is the new ACME. China isn't collapsing as much as it is a danger for floating vessels? No real aircraft carriers were harmed in the making of this movie. What idiot thought that this was a prediction of things to come in the year 2012? Written in 2025. Did anyone believe anyone would watch this movie more than once? I'm out. Was it better than any movies that audiences have waited a long time to happen? Yes, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. And no, Ghostbusters Afterlife. Conclusion: Hammy said it best in Over The Hedge, "It never ends this way too."
