A hardened single, big-hearted cop, hypochondriac, obsessed with disease as well as his job, Wagner destabilizes suspects as well as members of his brigade.

Their search leads them to the victim's brother, David, a character with shady activities who seem to be hiding things from the police. They will also discover that another man, Ari, had recently returned to Strasbourg to convince Sarah to run away with him. Caesar will have to unravel the true from the false in this episode which will end in a glimmer of hope, and will also have the opportunity to confront some fundamental questions about life and death.
