This success leads to him being offered the role as presenter of the BBC's new flagship music TV show, Top of the Pops. But behind the catchphrases and smiles lurks a sinister and dark character who secretly preys upon the young and vulnerable. - Episode 2
E2Episode 2As Savile's fame starts to grow in the early 1970s, he feels more and more untouchable - despite the rumours about his innapropriate behaviour, and the suicide of a teenage girl who was one of his victims. He also gets a free reign to see patients at Broadmoor and Stoke Mandeville - but the award of an OBE elevates his status in the public eye, as well as his ego.
