Under his pallet, Pietro finds a baby girl in swaddling clothes and so the search for the parents immediately begins. These searches intersect with murder in a rest area. Meanwhile, the commissioner and the veterinarian act as temporary parents to the found child. At the end of the episode, Marcella surprises her boyfriend with a proposal.
