The events take place from the end of 1929. to early September 1930, when the footballers—great national heroes—navigate, through the story of contemporary cultural and social events, the dramatic everyday life of the poor yet uncorrupted players on one side, and the Belgrade and Yugoslav bourgeoisie on the other.
