Every arc feels distinct—each testing the characters in unexpected ways. The pacing can dip slightly in the middle, but the writing, worldbuilding, and emotional payoff are top-tier. A near-masterpiece that proves anime can be both thrilling and deeply thoughtful.

Hiatus x Hiatus is a subrisingly deep and detailed Shōnen that does what many fail to do. Aside from a couple of instances where the Anime suffers from some pacing issues and a lack of creativity, it is a thoroughly enjoyable watch, especially as a Watch Together with a good friend/group of friends 🧡
