In the conclusion of the two-part winter finale, Avery and Amanda fly home after the successful surgery that saved Avery's life, but celebrations end early when their plane crashes onto an island in the middle of the ocean, leaving Amanda fighting for her life and with Avery nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, in Dixon, Leah visits her stables in an attempt to bring back memories of Daniel, but it goes very wrong when she is run over by a horse and left unconcious and bleeding.
