Roj Blake leads a crew of misfits aboard the alien ship Liberator, fighting the oppressive Terran Federation. But these weren’t clean cut heroes, they were flawed, cynical and deeply human. The sets wobbled, the budget was tight, but the writing? Sharp. Terry Nation gave us Avon, the ultimate anti-hero and Servalan, a villainess in power-smocks who stole every scene. Orac and Zen brought AI sass long before it was trendy. And the ending, no spoilers, was bold, unforgettable and still debated till this day.
