Warwick Gilbert

Born in 1950, Warwick Gilbert is a native of Sydney, Australia and worked in the animation industry as a director, animator and storyboard artist for such companies as Burbank Films, Hanna Barbera and Walt Disney from 1968 to 2006. During this period Warwick had a dual career as a graphic designer, and as bass player in the bands The Hitmen, The Raouls, Nitebeat, and Radio Birdman (inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame in 2007). Following the closure of Walt Disney's Australian studio in 2006, and after a successful joint exhibition called The Art of Radio Birdman in Sydney's Double Bay, Warwick moved to Coffs Harbour with his wife Julie Mostyn, to focus on his art.
